Striped Dragons come in a dazzling array of colors complemented by an intricate pattern of stripes. These bright colors and patterns help attract their favorite food, insects. Because their prey is so tiny, striped dragons must spend a large portion of their day eating. The color of the offspring is usually determined by the dragon’s mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Makoto is the result of a rather scandalous affair. OtouChi and OkaaChi had been fighting a bit, and OtouChi stormed off into the night. He tried to forget his woes with some fermented papaya, and well, when he woke up Eri was curled up next to him. It's still not entirely known two dragons of such different sizes managed to mate, but they did, and Makoto is the proof. OkaaChi forgave OtouChi, and the two have been happy ever since. Makoto was bounced around between his mom and his dad when he was a hatchling. His name means "Sincerity" in Japanese; Eri's way of telling OkaaChi that she was sorry, and she hadn't meant for it to happen. Despite his rough beginnings, and the scandalous whispers regarding his heritage; Makoto is a friendly and well-rounded individual. He likes to joke around, tell stories, and hunt his favorite food Atlas Butterflies. He is mated to Aya, and loves his shy little mate with all his heart and more. They are soul mates and feel so lucky to be together.
