Sunsong Amphipteres are an unusual breed. Due to light interference caused by their magical nature, they don’t seem to be affected by any ambient light source. However, when struck by direct sunlight, they shine a brilliant gold. They are playful and ever in flight; their ethereal and mysterious appearance and the fact that they are usually only seen at a distance have led many to believe they are a symbol of hope and good fortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Song of Light and Rain, like Exilian Requiem, sings a song of a world that seemingly doesn't exist. She calls it the Land of Light and Rain, a land where the world is overwhelmingly bright and where a young girl must learn to overcome darkness and, quite literally, how to play the rain. Play the rain like a musical instrument.

Song of Light and Rain is rather kind, or at least, kinder than most. She has extraordinary luck, and can happen upon anything she predicts will happen. If she thinks that a dragon will soon rip up the forest in anger, it will happen moments after she gives the word. Her voice, a symbol known to many as the voice of roses, the voice of the sunset, sings of the light she saw in her dreams and the rain which made such a melodious sound.

It's odd. She can never get dragons to listen to her fortune-telling normally, but the moment she puts it into song, crowds will gather.

She simply accepts it as a consequence of being the Song of Light and Rain.
