Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Midnight's Blood is a quiet dragon that prefers to keep to herself. She has had one baby and with Midnight's Danger. They aren't bonded mates but they are the only ones each has ever bred with. Midnight's Blood is a sweet dragon and she enjoys flying alone on snowy winter days. She is not often found with other dragons, and if she is, she is with Lightning, Mister Pygmy, Midnight's Midnight, or sometimes Midnight's Danger. Midnight's Blood enjoys reading old books and writing stories in the dirt with her large black tail. She doesn't get mad at all. She is patient and is wonderful with young dragons.
