Dorsal Dragons are so named because they have large fins along their backs that can be raised and lowered at will. They use these fins to regulate body temperature; they raise them to cool off when they become overheated. The bright colors on the fins double as a means of attracting mates.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Oezen the Pain's name is rather hard to pronounce, but other than that, he doesn't seem to be that unusual. Except, he isn't. A huge 'pain' at best, Oezen can often be seen heaping criticisms onto everyone but himself, and lazing around all day, not doing anything to benefit his clan. Many despise him, but nobody can do anything about him, no matter how much they want to levitate him and throw him down the mountain his clan's camp is found on. Though all agree that he is a huge, annoying nuisance, they don't all agree on why he was named the way he was: some say it's because his name was a huge pain to pronounce, while others say that it was because he himself was a huge pain.
