Sunset Dragons are closely related to sunrise dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunset Dragons generally live alone or in small packs. They are more active in the evening, hunting and performing all of their daily tasks as the sun sets.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

A servant to the great Zyumorph Caderyn Artaxias, Odare acts as a messenger of sorts between the territories ruled by the draconic Court of Dreamers. She was found as an abandoned hatchling and raised by Artaxias' followers, and is an exceptionally fast flyer. She also works with the human messengers quite frequently, aiding local kingdoms and ensuring messages arrive to important officials and to armies on the battlefronts of the kingdoms she serves. Though her work is dangerous, Artaxias instilled a great sense of courage in her and she refuses to back down from any challenge, even going so far as to help her human comrades deliver messages to prisoners deep within enemy territory.

Odare has never once been captured, though her right hind leg was severely injured in one of these escapades and since then she has been incapable of landing on it. She refuses to let it hinder her though, and promises to continue on with her work for as long as she can.
