Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Hell's Blaze of Gold's mother was a gold who was strongly attracted to the raw, fierce power of a particular male hellfire. This dragon is the result of that fateful pairing. One would expect much from Blaze: he should be a great fighter, fierce and loyal, sparing no one, and always victorious. He should be small, but feisty. He should have a brilliant reddish gold coat, and many other things.

Despite all these assumptions, the real thing is quite...different. He's a large, gangly looking bright yellow gold with great, big blue eyes. He won't fight; that's not to say he can't, but as a gold, he doesn't fancy getting his scales scratched.
