When Water Dragons mature, they lose the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They tend to inhabit the same lake for their entire lives, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Anatherion swims as fast as nobody can. He likes seeing fishes and the kelps in his lake, he finds amazing how life could be so different. He fell in love with Sarygosa some time ago, seeing her dances. He saw her reflections in her lake so began to look up in the sky seeking her figure. Anatherion woke up earlier only to see her in the dawn, making acrobatics. He often feared that Sarygosa would choose a skywing mate. He decided to propose himself, with a great angst in his heart. How could manage to survive if she would reject him... Anatherion prepared a long declaration of love, spoken with passion and fear and often even with a bit of panic. Sarygosa was so impressed of a such love deed that accept his courtship and some time later, they married and had their first egg. Sarygosa continues to fly in the skies but only near his beloveds lake and sleeps in a cave, where the lakewater enters, so they could sleep near.
