Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It is very dark in color, but its eyes glow brightly.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Ferret was a relatively inconspicuous hatchling among many. That is until her friend Mrana Mrana discovered how she was able to produce a pretty "ba-dee-bee-di-bi" sound. Ever since that day he practically forces her to accompany him all the time. And while he absolutely rocks the tune and is perfectly happy, she is far less enthusiastic and just accompanies him for his sake. She simply can't see the point of it all but the adults seem to love their silly little duet and it makes Mrana Mrana happy, so she begrudgingly plays along.
