Nebula Dragons are nocturnal creatures. With the best eyesight to be found, they are often seen staring into space. Each dragon tends to observe a particular nebula and will eventually change their colors and patterns to match it. As the nebula changes over time, the dragon changes with it. The more intricate the design of the nebula, the better chance an individual has of attracting a mate. It is said that the markings on no two Nebula Dragons will be exactly the same.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Lumixiros' favorite nebulae are the ones that are green and appear more scattered than others. He also has a few favorite constellations such as Lacerta, Cepheus, Norma, Dorado, and Gemini especially. Besides Gemini, Lumixiros keeps his reasons for liking these other constellations to himself. Every year, on the day he hatched, Lumixiros will sometimes add the Gemini constellation on his forehead as part of his bodily design to show his pride of the day he hatched, and exactly a month later, he will take away that design and wait for the next year to come. Fireflies love him, and he knows this as they swarm and dance around him in the night. They even seem to celebrate the day he hatched every year for they will gather in front of him and create a formation that takes the shape of his head and face, and he appreciates them for such a gift. As a result, the firefly has officially become Lumixiros' favorite animal.
