Grandfather
's Clock -verse3-4
It stopped short -- Never to go
Ninety years- without slumbering
never hung by its side
My grandfather
said that of

But it stopp'd short
servant so faithful he found
For it wasted no time and had
tick tock - tick tock
never to go again
but one desire - At the close of
each week to be wound - And it
When the old man died
kept in its place - not a frown
upon its face - And its hands

tick tock tick tock
never to go again
for flight - That his hour
for departure had come
when the old man died
Still the clock kept the time
with a soft and muffled chime
