White Dragons are pacifists and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can’t bring back the dead. They only eat plants and never kill living things.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Winterwyte is very naive for a dragon her age, and she inherited her strong sense of justice from her mother Kuro and her dislike of battle from her pacifist father Shiro.  Winterwyte is best friends with Mychelle, Shamroc, and Lyze of Kiel, all of whom were born around the same time. She is the leader of the Towa clan (Towa means 'eternity,' or 'forever' in Japanese), and she takes her heavy responsibilities seriously. She has led her clan through many battles with rivaling clans, and has overseen the hatching and growing up of many Towa dragons. Breeding and romance is a fervent dream for Winterwyte, but it has been very distant, despite her clan's blooming population. It is hard for her to hide her disappointment every time a female hatchling enters the world, and she can't help feeling jealous of Shamroc and Dappling Leaves for their peaceful, easy relationship. But Winterwyte has the strength to carry on, and that is exactly what she plans to do.
