It was previously believed that purple dragons were exclusively female, but this is not the case. Recent environmental shifts have revealed the existence of both genders of this breed. Female behavior is well known; they are primarily herbivores but will eat meat during mating season. On the other hand, very little is known about the behavior and habits of male purple dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Like Paladia, the Priests of Drekanos captured Iuliana in the intent to breed her. She had several eggs with Symeon who managed to spirit most of them out of the city. Since Vasacius earthquake she has made her lair in the city's library where the broken roof lets in slanting sunlight, illuminating cracked shelves and tumbled heaps of books. She has installed a giant magnifying glass which she dismantled the city's observatory to obtain, and which she uses to read the relatively tiny books. She will fly great distances to where trading caravans still travel and return, leaving the humans to piece together the wreckage and wonder at a dragon that steals only books. Symeon is a frequent guest at her lair and she serenely ignores the disapproval of the other dragons. She is writing a history of Drekanos. Incautious visitors are advised that they will be invited to read the great work. All opinions however, whether criticism or compliments, will be dismissed by Iuliana as flawed.
