Dragons are creatures with nearly unlimited life spans. They can survive for long periods of time, and no one has found a dragon that has died of old age. Hatchlings spend a relatively long period of time as hatchlings, from 100 to 200 years, before they mature. Adolescence is usually marked by a hatchling's wings growing in, but not all breeds of dragons grow wings. Baby dragons all look very similar, but once they hit adolescence, they change very fast, they mature to their full forms in only 2 years.
Dragons don't communicate with each other verbally, but they will growl to scare off predators and frighten prey. Young dragons will emit an extremely high-pitched squeal when they are frightened. To communicate, they use telepathy with each other and to speak to other creatures.
Pink dragons, however, are one of the only breeds of only female dragons. They eat only plants, and meat during mating season when it is brought to them by their mate. Their bright colors make them easy to spot during dragon mating season, which occurs once every 10 to 20 years and can last up to 2 years.
Sakurabloom is an exquisitely beautiful breeding dragon. Reared by her regal mother, she is fluent in the arts of seduction and enchantment when necessary. It is vital for her to select the perfect male dragon in order to advance her impeccable lineage. Because of her frank and calculating manner outside of mating season, however, she is quietly disliked by most of her female counterparts. None will dare to cross her, though, for her sharp intellect bites harder than any jaw can. Sakurabloom hides her loneliness behind her adamant pride and will only ever whisper a sad thought to her own sleeping unhatched eggs.
