Neotropical Dragons are a breed that originate in rainforests. They are fun-loving and enjoy lounging on tree branches, eating whatever fruit they find. They are also often found sunning themselves on rocks, using their large wings to soak up the rays. In the summer, males compete for mates by showing off their striped wings and gliding in spirals down the tree trunks. It is said that the larger the wings, the more likely the male will attract a suitable mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sir Banana, with banana "sword" in hand, banana-leaf shield, and even armour made of banana peels, cuts a striking image as she leaps and weaves through the Madder Jungle chicanery, protecting her reputation as the "Second Best Dressed" banana in the Madder Jungle (Banana McGEC is widely believed to be the best-dressed banana in the Madder Jungle, but that title has yet to be given out, so nobody can be sure). She goes to great lengths to steal the finest bananas and use their peels to replace the ones in her armour that are going brown and yucky, and the difficulties she has in maintaining in her possession a banana of sufficient proportions that she might consider it a sword are unfathomable. A prodigious number of fruits pass through her talons in order to maintain her attire and she spends so much time stealing bananas and having bananas stolen from her that she doesn't have the time for any other knightly activities.
