Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Born to unsuspecting parents, this dragon had NO foresight as to what would happen to her. She was nurtured and cared for like any other and upon her hatching, she played with the others like any normal dragon. Then, on the day when she grew to adulthood, it happened. A gigantic, vicious-looking monster, larger than any other dragon but unlike anything she'd ever seen, entered the cave she called home. As this evil creature gobbled up others in her clan, she tried in vain to attack and defeat it, but it was immune to her powers and ate her whole. Upon waking, she found that she was not alone; thousands of others had been devoured as well. She quickly gathered the others to try and escape, but all of them together could not break free from this beast's stomach until a knight fought and defeated the monster. As the beast fell, all the dragons were freed, and she received her name that very day, a name fitting her status during their entombment, Dark Lady of Underverse.
