Guardian Dragons have large shields on the end of their tails. Although the shields appear to be heavy, they are light, yet nearly unbreakable. Guardian Dragons use their tail-shields, as well as their wings, to deflect attacks and protect others. Often, they will guard the eggs and hatchlings of a nest while others are away. They are generally peaceful, and will not retaliate unless necessary. They have no need to forage or hunt, as they are fed by those they protect.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Ale'quel is a Guardian, just as proud as any other of his breed. He takes his task very seriously, and some dragons may consider him a bit anti-social for he speaks very little and tends to avoid eye contact as well. His life goal seems not to make friends, but to simply protect all who reside in his clan. Beyond this.. The only thing in life he seems to treasure is the young chick, Wen. He named the tiny feather ball when she hatched and has since guarded her from the hungry looks of his companions, never leaving her unattended. Where one is; the second is never far behind. Some dragons have also seen Ale'quel speaking softly to Wen for great lengths of time, which strikes them as reasonably strange. He barely even speaks to his own mate, Aranel, yet this chick receives so much attention. It's well known that his silver mate is quite jealous of the young bird, and would swiftly consume her if only she could do so without upsetting her mate..
