Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

That's Zak For You is another one of the Cave's rather quirky dragons. She spends much of her time lurking in the shadows eavesdropping on other dragons' conversations. When she hears someone complaining about another dragon, she invariably pops up and says "Well, that's Zak for you.", which is all the more odd considering the fact that there are no dragons called Zak in the Cave. The scrollkeeper, Dracopenguin, says That's Zak For You's strange habit is due to something called her 'code', although few other dragons understand what this 'code' is. This dragon's eavesdropping skills have lead to several attempts by other dragons to employ her as a spy, but all she ever says when she reports is "That's Zak for you." She is now mostly left alone to continue with her strange hobby.
