Sophrosyne Dragons are a rare sight, typically making themselves known only to protect and heal the vulnerable. A visit from one serves as a reminder that kindness prevails, and that there’s always hope for positive change. While it is known that they possess the power to reverse botched spells, some claim they can even cure methodically-cast curses. This has never been formally documented, but these dragons have been seen arriving in the aftermath of violence, and the scars of tragedy seem to heal faster in their wake. The feathers of a Sophrosyne have thus become a symbol of perseverance and light in the face of darkness.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Seraph has been considered a good omen by his tribe since the day he joined it. The tribe had been in the midst of a drought when Seraph abruptly fell from the sky. One of the dragons caught the baby Soulpeace, and the next day a storm passed through, reviving the plants. As he grew up, the dragons observed Seraph as having a seemingly endless good luck streak; he was rarely injured and always won games against the other hatchlings. This lucky streak continues to this day. Seraph is an extremely kind dragon, and it is very rare for him to lose his temper. Being descended from White dragons, Seraph has healing abilities, and aids the tribe's White dragons in caring for the others.
