Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

An older member of The Lost Dragons, he is very mischievous and spends a lot of time causing trouble with the leader of the clan. He is very defiant, likely the reason for his abandonment, and often disobeys any order given to him by a higher ranking member of the group. Most of the others have decided to cope with his attitude, but newer or intolerant dragons are antagonized easily by him, he is often in fights that need to be ended by the leader as he will take them too far. Before fleeing a nesting territory, he will customarily sit near a nest with young hatchlings in it, waiting for one to take its first steps from the nest only to be ensnared in his twisted vines and then devoured. Although he seems almost atomically vicious, he will often keep watch during the night over the rest of the group, worried the parents of a nest they have disrupted will harm his friends while they sleep.
