Lumina Dragons received their names from their highly reflective scales, which—at times—seem to glow. They are vain, always strutting about and preening incessantly; if one of their scales has so much as a scratch or a defect, they’ll remove it. Luckily, their scales grow back quickly, and each new growth is more beautiful than the last. These narcissistic dragons live in small groups and prefer to surround themselves with beauty. The females guard their territory and eggs while the males search for vegetation to eat.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

z'SHlN has legs like a luminox and isn't afraid to flaunt them—in fact, he has been known to start fights when he claims his legs are even more handsome than luminox legs! Those fights always make a mess, and then he has to go back to his weyr and pick out all the dirty and damaged scales and wait for a new set to grow in even prettier. Most other dragons simply roll their eyes, knowing that luminox have a special claim on attractive legs and the ego of a pale lumina is doomed to get its owner into trouble. At least z'SHlN spends most of his time among humans, where he works as a professional pants model. How he fits into human-style pants with his tail and rear wings is a mystery nobody really wants to investigate. In reality, the humans make special dragon-sized pants for him, which costs a lot, and he often destroys them accidentally when taking them off. Hiring him to model is a great ex-pants.
