Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Exekiel is rumored to have used to be a strong and noble dragon, protecting the weak and purifying the corruptions that abounded in Valkemare in the days of old. His wings were said to have stretched over mountains and his green eyes to pierce even the darkest of shadows that tried to hide the light from the ancient dragons.

Recently, however, Exekiel's reputation has taken a rather dramatic plunge. His eyes apparently don't shine the way they used to, and his world-spanning wings only serve as another tool for the darkness to overtake the light. He's seen less often, and when he does appear, it's only to get into a fight.

Legends have spread that he's let the darkness overtake him, and Exekiel certainly hasn't spoken a word to deny any of these new rumors. He and his flight of dragons that support him haven't been seen in a very long time.

Nobody knows quite what he's planning. They can only hope that the purificatory hero of old will return soon.
