Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

A sleek, skilled, and stealthy fighter, Batslash is very much a "lone-wolf" sort of dragon, which makes it rather odd that her best (and only) friend is a cheerful Bright-Breasted Wyvern dragoness named Robinflower. No one is quite sure why Batslash is so secretive, and the rumor mill is always trying to top itself with outlandish "backstories" that rarely stay cohesive from one telling to the next. During the duo's adventures they've managed to aquire various antagonists, from a rouge Vine dragoness to a Frostbite with a strange accent, and many different dragons in between. The hatchlings especially love to share their favorite stories about the pair, and sometimes make up new ones! Some of the more outspoken and boisterous young ones have even begun to fashion costumes of a sort for themselves so they can more closely resemble this Winged Crusader and the BBW Wonder!
