Khusa dragons thrive in dry, desolate, and rocky areas. Though they can fly, Khusa enjoy honing their climbing skills on foot. Shortly after they hatch, parents are already teaching their young how to pick their way across cliff faces, escarpments, and thin ridges. The young are well cared for by their parents, but other Khusa in the area also look out for the young—despite not forming close-knit groups, these dragons form loose alliances with their closest neighbors. If a threat is spotted, they will attack from above and drive it to the ground where Khusa have an advantage.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Ravenine was born in the middle of a great desert, where foes were more common than food and friends. Fortunately, she was born a Khusa dragon with two mighty parents who defended and cared for her. She grew quickly and grew lean and strong with the desert creatures they fed her.

It wasn't long into her youth where she saw a dusty bronze dragon egg being pecked at by crows, which she quickly scared off and brought it back to her family. The egg looked like one of her closest neighbors, a flight distance of a few days away. They weren't sure whether it was a good idea to ferry the egg back to them, due to the distance, so they kept it until it was strong enough. Despite the egg hatching into a strong male named Soarith, he never got to see his parents again. Instead, Ravenine was told under the direction of her parents to run away to the sea with her younger brother. There they happily joined a thriving clan. Soarith remained oblivious to what happened in the desert.
