Stone Dragons have a tough outer covering made of a stone-like material. They eat rocks, using the minerals they contain for nourishment and to keep up their stone outer shell. They rarely move, and are the heaviest of all types of dragons. Although they have wings, indicating flight ability, no one has ever seen a stone dragon flying.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Ruinara is a very peculiar dragon with even more peculiar eating habits. At dusk, she journeys afar in search of ruins, for she only eats the stones and boulders from ruins. No-one is quite sure why she doesn't eat ordinary stones like normal stone dragons, or just quite how she manages to journey to places so far away—because, surely, she is too heavy to fly! Rumours state that she eats the stones from age old ruins in order that she can gain the knowledge of the ancient dragons who once lived there. This may explain why she is so wise and almost as ancient sounding as the rocks she eats. Whatever the reasons for her peculiar habits, it is a known fact that she returns back to the cave from her mysterious journeys to various ruins before dawn; Ruinara rarely, if ever, is seen moving about during the day. To add to her strange habits, she is not your stereotypical, emotionless stone dragon, though she certainly has the capacity to be when the mood takes her.
