Radiant Angel Dragons are known for their intuition—they always seem to know when someone is feeling down, and will do what they can to provide cheer. These dragons are curious and will poke their noses into anything. They communicate with one another by making sounds similar to singing. It is said that the golden feathers shed from their whiskers can rekindle lost feelings of love.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Featherlove seems to be a magnet for trysts. He tries to slip away when the lovers come near, but nearly always is in such a hurry that his feathers snag in foliage or on outcroppings as he goes. About half the time, the snagged feathers get yanked off as he pulls to get free, so he leaves them behind. Inevitably his lost feathers, being so golden and pretty, get noticed and become keepsakes of the romantic time the lovers had.

Bards say there is romantic magic in Featherlove's lost feathers. Every couple who kept the feather they found has remained faithful to one another. Those who lost or sold their feathers split apart from one another. Once a feather was accidentally burned, and that couple had a violently tragic ending.
