Harvest Dragons are a large, flightless breed most often found in heavily forested mountains. Normally shy, these omnivorous dragons keep to themselves in remote regions, but in the fall they descend from their high territory to search for food—and lots of it. During the autumn months, harvest dragons will eat whatever they can find, from large and small animals to nuts and fruit. In the winter they retreat into large caves and hibernate until spring, living off the fat they have built up.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Alpine Harvest may be shy, but if she's made to talk, it's hard to shut her up, as if she forgets about all her care. Any topic is fair game, no matter how trivial, no matter how ignorant of the subject she is. If asked about her seemingly simple name, Alpine Harvest could ramble about mountains and seasons from sunsight to sunhigh. She doesn't seem to realize that her chatter isn't always welcome. Some venturesome humans have tried covering her mouth as she's talking, hoping she would get the hint, but she never gets the hint and continues talking.
