Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

As his name suggests, Marius has ties to three noble families. While proud to be respected by others due to his ancestry, Marius nevertheless feels annoyed by his excessively long name. In particular, he hates it whenever people fail to recognize that Anmar is a prefix and not his actual name, and tends to lose his temper whenever that happens. He also dislikes being called by his full name outside official business, deeming that unnecessarily formal.
