Welcome to Dragon Cave! Dragon Cave is an online adoptables game. Collect eggs, raise them to adulthood, and then breed them to create interesting lineages. New dragons are added regularly!
Sapphire Dragons were so named for their brilliant blue-green color, which is reminiscent of the gemstone. This breed was historically hunted for their scales; even long after, they remain distrustful of humans. Normally a Sapphire is not very aggressive, but they will defend themselves vigorously if under attack. Their diet consists mainly of fruit, with smaller portions of large insects and other invertebrates. Males woo females with vocalizations similar to bird songs. Sapphire Dragons are very loyal to their mates, and it is not unusual that they pair for life.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
Kesbori is head vocal instructor at Roaring Lion Productions, though more for his ability to drive away any would-be rivals than for any strong gift for teaching. He can sing well enough, and even teach what he knows to others, but his sarcasm and insistence on absolute perfection have driven far fiercer dragons than he is to tears and alienated many others. On the other hand, once a dragon has proven themselves to him, he will go to great lengths to make sure they have the ability to show off their talent in a performance. Kesbori doesn't care whether a star pupil is a brimstone, a hellfire, a caligene, or even small enough to be accidentally stepped on by their co-star, (although he does draw the line at desipises, as they could just be mind-controlling him into thinking they had potential) as long as they can sing well enough to impress him.
