Blusang Lindwyrms are quite different from most dragons in that they lack hind legs. In this regard, they resemble snakes, and this is evident in their movement; these lindwyrms slither along the ground, using their forelegs to lift them over rougher terrain. Blusangs are a coastal breed, preferring to live along rocky beaches and in seaside caves rather than sandy locations. They are omnivores who graze on seaweed from time to time, although their primary form of sustenance is fish.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Swiftblaze loves to fly. He can almost always be seen "chasing the waves" which is where he got his name. To him, his lack of back legs is not a hindrance but an advantage, and he can't imagine what it would be like to have them. They give him added streamlining, enabling him to fly much faster and win many races he enters. The only dragon he has ever lost a race to is a beautiful Sunsong Amphiptere by the name of Amber Gaze of Affection. With no legs at all, she could slice through the air like a scaly arrow. Since then, Swiftblaze has always liked her.
