Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Unlike the other hatchlings, this one hatched with wings.

And look! Its back legs have become a second set of wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

As sweet and delightful as her name implies, SummerSky is a playful and gentle hatchling who believes it's her duty to watch over other hatchlings and eggs. She was abnormally small when she was born, and despite being healthy, she hardly grew at all. Her mentality is a match to her appearance and has stayed as childlike as her size.  She does not seem to even realize that she should be an adult, preferring to ignore them and spend all her time with the other babies, curling up around the eggs or playing with the hatchlings.
