Stone Dragons have a tough outer covering made of a stone-like material. They eat rocks, using the minerals they contain for nourishment and to keep up their stone outer shell. They rarely move, and are the heaviest of all types of dragons. Although they have wings, indicating flight ability, no one has ever seen a stone dragon flying.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Dorenzo sometimes finds it hard to be a stone dragon. All the weight put on him from the heavy stone. He found it hard to move and so he mostly stayed in his cave. He found it hard to fly with heavy wings.Yet Dorenzo was very kind to the other dragons. He was kind to hatchlings even though they ran away screaming a high pitch noise as if Dorenzo had scared them.

Dorenzo later found a dragon that had a problem too. She was a shy mint dragon. Dorenzo had learned that mint dragons are usually always afraid. So he tried comforting the young mint. He found out that the mint's name was Minshay. She told him all about her problems and how she couldn't get along with other dragons because she was so shy. Dorenzo comforted her and he soon found himself close to her, then later she got close to him. So later on, Dorenzo found it easier to be a stone. He began thinking a stone was the greatest gift ever!
