Dragons are creatures with nearly unlimited life spans. They can survive for long periods of time, and no one has found a dragon that has died of old age. Adolescence is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Once they hit adolescence, hatchlings change quickly, maturing to their full forms in only 2 years.

Dragons don’t communicate with each other verbally, but they will growl to scare off predators and frighten prey. Young dragons will emit an extremely high-pitched squeal when they are frightened. To communicate, they use telepathy with each other and to speak to other creatures.

White dragons are pacifists and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can’t bring back the dead. They only eat plants and never kill living things.

Leigh brooks is like all white dragons in the clan responsible for the safekeeping, healing and nurturing of her clan members. But Leigh is the most soft spoken, most graceful, fairest, caring, mystical and beautiful white dragon of her clan. From a distance Leigh is often mistaken for a beautiful nymph or fairy. All the white dragons are evenly skilled with their healing powers but most dragons still prefer Leigh to take care of them when they are hurt or sick because she appears more polite, calm, soothing and trustworthy. Her calm voice can distress any dragon in a severe situation. She is nicknamed in the clan as the "white nurse" or "white doctor". Leigh feathers are pure white like snow and her eyes are dark as the night only seeing hints of blue when she faces the sunlight. Dragons also visit her if they feel troubled for advice. She envies guardian dragons because they can protect their loved ones. Leigh is however on bad days insecure and a huge coward.
