Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon... except for the tangle of dangerous-looking vines surrounding it...

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Even tough Akiam never grew up he still enjoys spending time with and teaching the other hatchlings how to play different games and how to hunt for their own food. By doing this he is good friends with the adult dragons that got to grow up. Occasionally one of them comes by his clearing and offers to fly him around for a few hours. Akiam usually accepts but if he's promised to teach a hatchling something in a few minutes he sometimes asks the friend to stick around until he's finished teaching. If Akiam's had a tough time of teaching a hatchling he gets Akiriena to teach them something that he doesn't teach. On his free days he goes out walking and sometimes visits his neice Vallentia Pikina, or his half siblings Angel's Jonas and Saira Bush.
