Albino Dragons are so named because their translucent, scale-less skin lacks all pigment. Instead, to help protect their bodies from the sun, they are coated in an oily secretion that blocks the sun’s harmful rays. The call of an albino dragon is similar to a barn owl--a shriek instead of a roar.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Snowmelt Dawn hatched in the winter and matured under the cold, bright rays of the days surrounding solstice, the briefest brilliance of the shortest days. Her long, pale limbs and oily skin give her a ghostly appearance, particularly at night, but she does not mean to be menacing. She is cautious and likes to observe from a distance before entering a group. Hollow trees are her favorite hiding place from which to observe others. The ants and termites don't bother her, and the earthy smell in the moss and mushrooms is a familiar and comfortable smell to her. Since most trees are too small for her now, she finds abandoned barns to huddle in.

When she does see a friend, she shrieks in delight. Her long, shrill shriek is unnerving, and many of her friends have asked her to bring it down a notch. The best friends, though, roar back with just as much verve, happy to see her regardless of what her voice sounds like.
