Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It perfectly depicts autumn weather.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Snowy Night's egg was found in the midst of a late-autumn snowstorm, laced with frost and even cracked with ice in some places. Nobody's sure where her egg came from, and what parents would leave it there to die. Not only was she a runt because of this, but the sheer cold in which she was born has convinced her that she's actually a winter dragon, despite the color of her scales. Despite all the efforts placed forth, nobody in the clan has managed to convince her otherwise. Oddly enough, she scoffs at Dear, the black hatchling who thinks she's a mint, and Rubellites, a red who thinks she's a chicken.
