Daydream Dragons are the hosts of daydreams and fantasies. They spend the majority of their time sitting on clouds, dropping daydreams down into the minds of people passing by. Humans who live near Daydream Dragons must be especially careful not to let their thoughts wander, or they could end up spending hours or even days in a trance-like waking dream state.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

When Cirrus was a hatchling, he spent all his time in a dreamy trance; envisioning possible futures, epic scenarios and wildly creative ideas. He didn't spend much time socializing and so never had many friends. As he grew older his distant nature became a huge disadvantage as the other dragons were not interested in talking to him, Cirrus realized that although he loved being alone, he didn't fancy being lonely.

With no self confidence or social skills, improvement was slow. He didn't fully begin to blossom until Veela, a Valentine dragon, befriended him and became his temporary mate. Through her kindness and compassion, he had the courage to find his own mate—the quiet white dragon Siren. As he opened up he made many new friends, who were impressed with his imaginative thoughts. Today he is one of the most cheerful dragons in the pride.
