Magma Dragons are capable of withstanding the intense temperatures of their element. They live in volcanic regions, their bodies coated in the red hot magma which clings to their scales. They must leave the lava fields in order to hunt, although they require surprisingly little food to sustain their lumbering mass.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Pele is never happier than when simply soaking in her molten lava bath, where she can spend days on end between hunts. Her involvement in clan politics, however, makes her days of leisure much more limited than she prefers. She feels great responsibility toward her fellow Trios and is constantly working to support Trio-favorable policies and taking care of little things that have to be done around the lairs. Her Royal Blue mate, Marth Lhuglor, does not understand why she insists upon torturing herself in this way, always telling her that she needs to take care of herself more. Some days she heeds his advice and sinks herself back into the magma, where she feels at peace once more.
