Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Unlike the other hatchlings, this one hatched with wings.

And look! Its back legs have become a second set of wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Lucy Mae is in love with life, especially the sky and the clouds and the stars.  If she could she would spend her entire life floating above the world, darting between trees and soaring across mountains.  As her home she has selected a cave at the very tip of a mountain, so that even when she sleeps she can remain near the heavens.
