Sophrosyne Dragons are a rare sight, typically making themselves known only to protect and heal the vulnerable. A visit from one serves as a reminder that kindness prevails, and that there’s always hope for positive change. While it is known that they possess the power to reverse botched spells, some claim they can even cure methodically-cast curses. This has never been formally documented, but these dragons have been seen arriving in the aftermath of violence, and the scars of tragedy seem to heal faster in their wake. The feathers of a Sophrosyne have thus become a symbol of perseverance and light in the face of darkness.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ta-mara is a jovial, excitable young Soulpeace dragon. He loves to talk to friends, but is extremely shy around other dragons because they tend to stare. He loves to play and to explore. He also hates surprises.

He has had a pretty good life at the cave, being raised by Serenitella, his mother the White Dragon, and Blue-Snake, his father the Daydream Dragon. He has lived happily with them until he was able to fly. The sky called to him, and he spent most of the day in it. However, he never went far, for fear of losing his way and not being able to find his way back.

One day, he was flying and he thought he heard someone screaming over the horizon. Being the good-hearted dragon he is, he went to see. It was a Seragamma Wyvern. The Wyvern convinced him to help her to her cave because of her wing injury. They soon became best friends, but poor Ta-mara lost his way and cannot go back home.
