An almost strictly nocturnal breed, Ciriax Lindwyrms are especially attuned to the moons’ cycles. They spend nights patrolling the edges of their territory, aggressively fending off intruders while they feast on their prey. After two or three nights of feeding, often around the time of at least one full moon, Ciriax Lindwyrms retreat to the recesses of their cave or underground homes. These dragons make it particularly difficult to travel on nights that are well-lit by moonlight, often to an unsuspecting adventurer’s dismay.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Two-headed dragons are unique enough to deserve a separate classification from ordinary dragons. They have two necks, two brains, two mouths, but one stomach and one main body. The two heads usually work together, but there are times when they will fight each other, snapping back and forth. Their unique anatomy prevents them from breeding with single-headed dragons.

User Description

The fact that one head can be asleep while the other is awake is incredibly inconvenient if one of the twin-heads happens to suffer from delayed sleep phase disorder or DSPS. The right head, Cadal, is completely unable to wake before approximately 6 in the morning, by which time Dusgach would ideally have finished her nightly activities such as hunting and eating and would like to go to sleep. Not only that, stalking prey is incredibly difficult as Dusgach has to drag along a sleeping, snoring great big lump of a dragon's head which unfortunately happens to be attached to the same body. Imagine trying to sneak up to a deer like that. It's quite a miracle that they haven't starved yet, as Dusgach likes to point out. Good thing they have met Sealg agus Marbhadh, a male Two-Headed Lindwurm whose heads are happily synchronised and who gladly share their meal with their beloved mate.
