Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Its eyes glow brightly at night, and it enjoys attacking insects and small animals.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Galondra is an adult dragon, trapped in the body of a child. She is the daughter, the only offspring of a powerful chieftain  a warrior princess, but she is far, far from her home. She was kidnapped just after she hatched many years ago by her fathers oppressors, and a spell was cast upon her so she would never reach adulthood and continue leading her fathers clan, and abandoned to die. For years, she wandered, hoping to find a way to return to her clan, but it was futile; she had been taken too far from home at such a young age. During her travels, she came across a human who called herself Counterklock, who offered to help her. Galondra has been with this human ever since. Galondra takes it upon herself to teach the hatchlings under her human companions care how to defend themselves, becoming a dragon version of the Greek Goddess Artemis of the sorts.
