Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Midnight Ghost is extremely shy, and even most of her nocturnal clan mates only ever catch glimpses of her. No one knows if it's due to her Shadow Walker heritage or if she's just talented at hiding and making herself totally unassuming, but even the best spies and most alert observers only have ever caught a bit of a silver shimmer slipping in or out from the caves at midnight—MG's preferred hunting time.
