Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Chute is the unfortunate victim of a grudge which out-lived death itself. She was attacked brutally by a vampire when she was little. He didn't turn her; he didn't drink her blood. It was purely malicious.

This seriously violated the terms that the Equinox Coven was being allowed to stay with the Elders Clan. Ace demanded his daughter's attacker be brought to justice and that Equinox do everything in their power to save her life. The usual suspects were ruled out by an array of alibis. Finally, the culprit came himself to confess.

His name was Neo, though that name was only one he adopted when he became a vampire. Neo tried his darndest to hide his true identity, but it was hard not to notice how similar their voices were or for Ace not to notice his haunting, icy green eyes; the same as his mother.
