Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Rising Catastrophe was frozen on the verge of death. Though she no longer ages and will forever remain a hatchling, she isn't stupid. She is jealous and spiteful to all dragons who grew up or will grow up soon.<br/>Assisting in carrying out spiteful deeds is Noir, her adult counterpart. The pair are clever pranksters with a nasty reputation for trouble.
