Daydream Dragons are the hosts of daydreams and fantasies. They spend the majority of their time sitting on clouds, dropping daydreams down into the minds of people passing by. Humans who live near Daydream Dragons must be especially careful not to let their thoughts wander, or they could end up spending hours or even days in a trance-like waking dream state.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Dreammist was a very cheerful dragon. That was until her dreams were crushed. Dreammist was always friendly to her cavemates but when she met Dreamspiral she immediately became shy. She had a secret love for him from the first time she saw him and hoped she would one day be mates with him. Then when she finally found the courage to talk to him she already saw him talking to another Daydream dragon named Dreamcolor. Dreammist was angered at Dreamcolor and declared her as her rival. She would always stop talking when Dreamcolor came over and give her a stare and leave. Dreammist still had hopes of becoming Dreamspiral's mate until she found out the two have become mates. She was devastated and from that day she was rarely seen for she always hid in mist sobbing about it.
