Originating from a single species that thrived in ancient times, Xenowyrms have become an incredibly diverse breed whose appearances vary depending on their habitats. Each Xenowyrm subspecies is heavily reliant on the power of different types of mana, making them powerful magic users. Chronos are often considered to be the most elusive of all Xenowyrm subspecies: they live in the darkest and densest forests, far from civilization. They are masters of time magic, allowing them to manipulate the flow of time at will. It is said that Chrono lairs are protected by a field of magic that makes the minutes tick by at a slow pace for any unwanted visitors.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

There will be Time and her mate, who goes by the same name, are odd dragons—or if they are to be believed, an odd dragon. Both insist that they are actually two separate iterations of the same dragon. Their story goes that the male iteration tore a wyrmhole in time, allowing the female iteration to slither out of her timeline before it de-iterated. Their only current regret is that at some point (perhaps the same incident, though it's not clear) they allowed a mad dragon that at the time was yet to be hatched into the 'real' past, and he—whoever he will be—caused a major disaster somewhere else on Valkemare. The female iteration is certain this disaster involved a pool of wild dark mana.

Many dragons don't believe the paradoxical and mildly confusing story, but none can deny the bizarre similarity between the two chrono-xenowyrms. They look identical, their vocalizations are indistinguishable, their thoughtspeak sounds the same, and their scents vary only by the male-female-ness.
