Guardian Dragons have large shields on the end of their tails. Although the shields appear to be heavy, they are light, yet nearly unbreakable. Guardian Dragons use their tail-shields, as well as their wings, to deflect attacks and protect others. Often, they will guard the eggs and hatchlings of a nest while others are away. They are generally peaceful, and will not retaliate unless necessary. They have no need to forage or hunt, as they are fed by those they protect.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Loyalguardian is a loyal guardian to his mate, Orchidheart. He loves to stay beside her and just feel her scales next to him. He can be a bit serious and a little overprotective but tries not to; however, he almost always fails. Instead of his mate hunting and foraging he would rather go hunt and forage, because he thinks she'd be safer near all the other dragons and dragonesses in WaterClan, but he often rushes to forage so he can get back to his mate swiftly. Sometimes he's possessive and not one to share with anyone but his mate, but sometimes she talks him into it. He has a great voice and only sings for his mate; they both like singing duets together. He also likes to swim with his mate, but is very weary of the water. Loyalguardian is also very quiet, he's not shy, just quiet, only talking to his mate, and has short conversation with anyone else. He has the same fierce loyalty and love of his children; he now has many children and grandchildren he now would risk his life for.
