Magma Dragons are capable of withstanding the intense temperatures of their element. They live in volcanic regions, their bodies coated in the red hot magma which clings to their scales. They must leave the lava fields in order to hunt, although they require surprisingly little food to sustain their lumbering mass.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Generously gifted to the clans, Rila's childhood was a walking dream of marrying her prince, becoming a princess and flying off into her happily ever after. For most this is just idle daydreams, but for Rila it was a reality, as her destiny was to marry a prince from a far off land, having been betrothed from birth. As time went on her dreams faded and faded, until they were a lingering hope that she would cling to in her worst moments, yet haunted her throughout each second of her life. Eventually the news came her prince would never come. The facade she had spent years building proved effective, as Rila took the news graciously with only a slight show of grief, while inside she was been ripped apart. Although distraught she held herself high, continuing to hold her place of high esteem in the cave with help from her friends and allies, though deep down she still dreams of a crown.
