Paper Dragons are not truly living creatures. They are pieces of parchment enchanted by magic, and as such, are very vulnerable to fire. However, they behave almost like dragons. The only place where their behavior differs is breeding: paper dragons cannot breed.

Much like the year before, a young boy received his score for his math midterm with an anguished sigh. The red ink glared at him menacingly as he exited the school building into the snowy afternoon. Balling up the paper, he tossed it over his shoulder with a scoff leaving it to soak on the white sidewalk. Good riddance.

Moments later, an old warlock happened to stroll by the sheet of paper. He bent over and peeled it off of the cement and brought it to his house. After drying it off, he uttered a few practiced spells and Midterm was born into a paper dragon flitting about the warlock's living room, the bright red 56 printed on its soft papery cheek.
