Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Unusual among magic users, Ethereal Lancer is known for his brutal close-range melee attacks, though with a major twist to suit his inherently-weak Magi physique. In place of tough scale armor, he uses shield magics to defend against blows, both physical and magical. In place of claws, teeth and weapons, he reconfigures his shield into the shape of a giant lance, which is destructive, nearly impervious to magic attacks and is capable of penetrating all but the strongest magical shields. This deadly combination, proven to be effective against both ordinary melee and magic users, earned him his current name and the respect from those who questioned his unorthodox methods.
